The Twelfth Meeting of the ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant Coordinating Committee (12th ACPACC) was held on 19th June 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, back-to-back with the Business Services Sectoral Working Group (BSSWG). The meeting was chaired by Dr. Teerachai Arunruangsirilert, Chairman of Accounting Profession in Development Subcommittee, Federation of Accounting Professions, Thailand, and co-facilitated by Ms. Cyndi Natalia, the Head of the ACPACC Secretariat. Representatives of all ASEAN Member States (AMS), and a staff member of the ASEAN Secretariat attended the meeting..

This conference will take important role in developing the Asean Market for professional accountant as well as to enhance the professionalism of professional accountant within Asean Member State. The journey of the professional accountant to be one in Asean is not a big bang process. It is in-line with the journey of Asean Economic Committee (AEC), but a landmark should be established.

Mr. Pham Tuan Anh delivered an opening speech on behalf of the Chairman of ACPACC for 2019-2021. The ASEAN CPA conference is a yearly event that will be conducted every year by the ACPACC Monitoring Committee, which consists of 10 ASEAN Member States. The Indonesia Monitoring Committee hosted the 1st ASEAN CPA conference and the 2nd Conference The Philippines volunteered to contribute.
